Is there a way to request/guarantee a table beside the aquarium or is at random? I am thinking of this ressie for a large group dinner (16, hoping for 2 tables of 8) because of the different atmosphere and we already have a few character meals planned. I was hoping to ensure the good tables to entertain the kids!

You can request it at the podium when you check in, but be prepared to wait, especially with a group that size. My sister and I waited about 15 minutes and it was just two of us. There is no guarantee though.

I'm not sure they can even put that large of a number next to the aquarium. For some reason, I'm only seeing 4 tops in my head with 2 facing 2, not 1 on each side. You can only sit perpendicular to the aquarium, not facing it, so there's no way to put 8 around a table there.

I will say, we sat away from it and could easily see all the fish. It's not the same as being right next to the window, but you do have a better view of the entire aquarium instead of what's just right at your table.

I think you are right. We were just there last month. Directly against the tank there were two tops and four tops. We were there around 3:00. Place was empty. We were seated right in front. and had a fabulous and relaxing lunch. Started getting crowded around 4.

I doubt that a party that size will be seated by the aquarium. WE were a party of 9 and celebrating my DH birthday. This was back when you could request a diver and sign. They placed 4 people by the window and we got a booth across the walkway.

I thnk that unless they can find four tables for 4 you may not be able to sit there. The view is good even from teh higher tiers, though, and we actually prefer it.

When we went last year (smaller party of 4), we got seated at the back of the restaurant after asking for the glass. Our hostess said "Can you look upset for a minute?". We thought that was weird, but that's what she needed to go talk to her manager and get us moved up. Not a tactic I would have thought of or that I would expect to work every time, but it was completely the hostess' idea and it worked!

I recommend being away from the glass in the center or back of the resturant. We got seated on the second row near the door and could only really see the two windows on that side. It was still great to watch the fish from there but it could have been better. Also try and get a booth as they are setup to point the majority of the party at the glass and the table tops have you looking at the sides of the resturant so you need to turn to look at the tank.

It's not that big of a place to begin with. To get two tables of eight near the window probably won't be possible. Even getting two tables of eight might be difficult.

I thought there were booths! I ate there solo a couple of summers ago and was seated at a table one row away from the glass. One more row away were booths that sat 4 next to 4, in a "u" shape. I'd ask for two sets of those, because as PP said, more of you face the aquarium. Also, occasionally other diners were coming up in between tables, for a closer look, which might annoy some people.

Do the booths fit 8?

Also, do they do anything like the divers with notes or even the personalized welcome menu anymore?

Thx

I have now read a few posts saying they dont do the diver messages anymore, but cant find anything about the personalized menus..has anyone done this recently?
