Coral Reef, 1st time, which is best?

We were at CR last week for a lunch ADR and I was a bit disappointed....we will probably not go back next year.

I had the lobster salad and as the OP said it was nothing special. I did like the lobster bisque....but they serve it in a tiny (expresso size) cup and then it was only half full! What's up with that????? It amounted to about 3 spoonfuls.

DH had the steak and was not impressed....but then again we had already had the filet at LeCellier and the Yachtsman (which were both outstanding).

The restaurant was very noisey. I requested a table in the middle away from the tank ( figured the families with kids would enjoy front and center by the tank more than 4 adults). But.....we were seated on the lower level, at the tank...in the far corner.

The divers came to our end with signs as we were eating...and everyone crowded our table to see the signs and take pictures.

We had much nicer lunches at LeCellier, Chefs de France, Raglan Road and Wolfgang Pucks Express.

I thought my strip steak at Coral Reef was much better than my mushroom filet at LeCellier last week, which really surprised me for my first time at each, based on LC's reputation.

At Coral Reef, the strip came with potatoes, and mixed greens. The mixed greens were on the menu also, not brocolini any longer.

My biggest disappointment was the key lime dessert had been removed from the menu (apparently recently, as my menu still had it on it).

I debated getting the Mahi Mahi, but I have never had that, and didn't want to order it, and then not like it. My brother was with us on this day, and he made the comment that we went to a seafood place, but not one of us ordered seafood. DMIL's reasoning was we just couldn't get ourselves to eat any fish with the tank right there in site.
