Copyright question

Hi --

I love all the designs on here and I'm inspired to make some of my own! I am a little concerned about the copyright on Disney characters, though. Anyone know what the rules are? Since I wouldn't be selling anything, it's OK to use the characters, etc.?

I design birthday invitations, too, and often see "character" invitations available on Ebay, but I have avoided doing these types of designs -- have not researched the matter at all to see what's allowed.

Thanks for any help and info you can give!

So long as your not selling them, you can design and make whatever you'd like. Selling for profit is where copyright laws come into effect.

Enjoy making your new creations!!

Thanks for the info and reassurance! My family doesn't know it yet, but we'll be wearing matching shirts in August! :rolleyes1
