Copper River Salmon @ Artist Point?

Does anyone know when this will be available this year? ...Would the 1st weekend in June be a safe bet?

Copper River Salmon availability depends on how bountiful the catch is. It usually ends up on the Artist Point menu from mid-May through mid-June. I certainly hope it's still on the menu for the first weekend in June. I've got an ADR on June 3 at Artist Point.

We had a wonderful dinner at Artist Point tonight, and our server told us that starting next Saturday and lasting for six weeks they'll have the Copper River salmon. He was raving about it!

The first Copper River salmon are going out from Alaska tomorrow (Monday the 14th). The commercial season opens at 7 a.m. There's only a 12 hour opening, meaning the supply will be limited for a little bit until the ice in the area rivers clears out a bit more.

I'll be eating there on May 20th. I hope they have it!!! I had it there last June and it was absolutely DELICIOUS.

Our server last Thursday night told us the same thing...the special salmon starts May 19th and they will have it for approximately six weeks. He asked the chef specifically so we knew when to come back.
