So Pete's review got me so interested in these cabins I'm considering purchasing resale to have enough points to book. But I'm wondering if these are ever available at 7 months? I already own at 2 other resorts so could only justify staying here by combining my various points at 7 months. This also got me thinking about the Poly, but CC looks like something we would enjoy more. Apologies if this is posted elsewhere but I couldn't find it. My guess is that there may be availability because the point cost is so high, but wondering if anyone has first hand experience? We would probably do this in an off season if it matters, but am anticipating having a lot of flexibility to go sometime when they were available.

Well that's good and bad news . . .maybe I need that resale contract after all! I was trying to talk myself out of it, but it isn't working.

About the only time they are not is during the early Dec cheap point time. There's a few other holidays etc. but yes, for the most part they are available at 7 months.

It is hard to say for CCV exactly because of room declarations made throughout the year that introduced new availability around the 7 month mark for November and December. However, prior to those declarations holes were found in stays from Thanksgiving week through Christmas, with a fair number days gone for the first 2 weeks of December (and many days over Thanksgiving too). But since declarations were made after the 7 month date some days did reopen, but this won't happen again (declaration that is).

Though outside of holidays and cheap season you'll find them to be available.

Yes, I wouldn't buy thinking I'd be able to cook Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner in them when booking at 7 months. You might be able to of course but probably not. Mid-October was available though - I had it booked for awhile then we changed to earlier dates.

I was able to book my son 2 nights with a months notice for the CCV cabins the first week in May. I could have booked more nights but that’s all he needed, The Poly bungalow was also available.

Thanks. I pulled the trigger on buying more points via resale. Hope they get through ROFR. I would love to stay there someday.

I think these are a few examples of times where it might make sense to buy the least expensive resale points possible with the hopes of getting what you want at 7 months.

I can’t say I went least expensive. I love BLT so am working on that. I followed the “buy where you want to stay”. Someday I will stay there for NYE. I also thought it would be easier to rent when I can’t use it than Saratoga. We have a few years here where I will have extra points so rentability was key, but then I hope to have my self set to spend 2 weeks there every winter. It’s fun to dream about.

Poly as a home resort is a great way to stay in a studio for not alot of money (compared to paying cash for a room)
