We are going to Copenhagen this July and want to know what can I do at night with a teen. We are doing Tivoli Gardens the first night.

I think you read my trip report, we went there, also walked around everything is close and safe, we went to markets, viewed buildings there are canal boat trips, we took the free shuttle to Trivoli and then went to hard rock, then walked back, details in my trip report, we got back at 11 pm.

Thank you, of course I read all your trip reports. Also I am curious where are you going in 2017.

In my opinion, Tivoli is best at night after the lights come on, so you are spot on in planning one night there. We felt very safe walking all over the city at all hours. Honestly, I felt safer in Copenhagen at night than I do walking in downtown Pittsburgh. Remember that it will be light out until very late. Take a canal cruise, shop on the Stroget, have dinner at a sidewalk cafe or just walk. Honestly, we loved just walking and taking in the city (as did our 17 year old). We were there for 2 and a half days and it wasn't enough. Copenhagen is such a beautiful city and we found everyone to be very friendly and helpful (and most speak English very well). Enjoy!

was there 2 years ago with my nephews (16 and 18 years old). we went to dinner in the harbor. then walked around the shopping area. got ice cream, checked out some shops, looked at street art and performers. lots going on in the evening when you just walk around. we were there in june before a HAL baltic cruise. we stayed right in the centre core - very safe. and given the daylight hours - it seemed like no one ever slept! they were always outside enjoying the great weather.

Thanks we will be there for 2 and a half days as well, but I have tours booked for 6 hours on the first 2 days, so, not too much time after the tours.
