Hi Ladies!

So sometime around Christmas I called DFTW and was put in contact with Doreen, who was very helpful the first time I talked to her, and she answered most of my questions. Anyways, I called on Monday, March 19th...which I thought was the first day I could call to book my March 18th, 2008 wedding, and the latest time slot (5 o'clock ish) was already booked.:sad1: So I took the 2:30 time, which is okay I guess. I only worry about it because my dad sweats when it's 32 degrees out, and I don't want him to be uncomfortable.

Anyways, she said something about not having the 2008 pricing yet, which is fine, but she didn't really give me a clear answer as to when I might hear back from her again. Anybody else in this boat, or maybe know the answer?

I know DFTW tells you what you need to know, when you need to know it, but I'm OCD, especially when it comes to my wedding, and I don't have a lot of patience!

Thanks ladies, Have a fabulous day!

When i called to pencil in my date i also spoke to Doreen! She told me the same thing about the pricing not being in yet for 2008, she told me that she'd call as soon as the pricing came in. From previous experience (booking room reservations and such) August is usually the latest that the new pricing comes out for the room rate changes, so i'm just assuming thats when they'll release ALL pricing changes, weddings included. But i'm the same as you on the patience thing.. i have VERY little! haha - but i'm sure you'll hear from her as soon as the new pricing comes out!!! Oh and if you really have your heart set on a 5 o'clock wedding.. you should call Doreen back and ask about being put into a lottery, i'm not to sure the process on it, i'm actually calling her tomorrow about being put into one for the 5 o'clock time slot.. because the only thing i could get was a 10am (we're having a Valentines Day wedding, and i called as soon as i could, and that was all that was available) so after i call her tomorrow, i can give you some more advice on what happens with that if you want... But i hoped i helped!! :goodvibes

Good Luck with getting in touch with Doreen! Let me know if you find out anything helpful!

One thing she told me that I hadn't read anywhere else, and it was kind of stressing me out - the Wedding Cake is enough for twenty people (the bottom of course). The Extra is if you want more Champagne...which is not an issue for us. I was just worried about the extra cost of more cake...no worries now! YEAH!
