Can we bring a cooler into the room at the Dolphin? We were thinking about bringing water bottles, beer and soda with us and some snacks.

2 rooms and 7 people!

We did bring a styrofoam cooler with us to the Dolphin, but they do have a fridge with the mini-bar that they will give you the key to. I declined as I was afraid my 3-year-old would get into the snacks. We had to keep the cooler in the bathroom, and it did make things a little tight.

You will love the Dolphin. It's such a great place!

We're planning to do that at AKL. The baby needs milk and I'd like to keep some drinks and snacks also. (Though I must admit, I feel a bit tacky staying in a deluxe and bringing a cooler...LOL  )

I know what you mean...i felt a little funny too, but we had our cooler at AKL with milk, juice, and other breakfast and snack stuff. Makes for a quick morning and off to the parks.

That's what I was thinking, too. We're not big breakfast eaters anyway. I'm planning on a late breakfast at Boma on a sleep-in day, Donald's Breakfast at AK, and Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast--more like lunch for us, really. I can't see spending any more money on them as I know we won't eat much. Some juice and a piece of fruit, a pop tart, or a bagel and we're ready to go!

If you feel funny about bringing the cooler in why not buy a collapsible one that you can set up in your room and add the ice there.

That's definitely something to consider! Carrying in a cooler when you have outside access to your room is one thing...I'm just picturing DH carrying a giant picnic cooler through the AKL lobby! LOL

We have brought a cooler for all of our Disney trips. We are Diet Coke addicts (used instead of coffee in the morning) , and I like a beer (OR TWO OR THREE) after a long day at the parks. We keep milk for my daughter's breakfast and drinks for everyone and replenish it daily. I think you are crazy NOT to bring a cooler.

I put a collapsible cooler in my suitcase when I stayed at WL. Though, the belllady took out stuff outside as soon as we got out of the car so there wasnt an issue of walking through the lobby with a cooler. I couldnt have done without it though. We put in drinks, milk, ham for sandwiches. It was invaluable.

I was feeling a little funny rolling a cooler through the lobby...We're driving down from NY instead of flying , so well have a cooler, and with 5 kids It just makes sense to us. A quick snack in the AM and we're off and running!

As DVC Members I felt weird the first trip Home with all my coolers and groceries but the bellman had no trouble with anything I had...So take your cooler and don't worry, they have seen everthing. (just remember to tip a little extra for a heavy cooler)

Have a Great Trip (don't worry, be happy you'll be at WDW)

We're going to try using a cooler in this next trip. I suspect it will save us time and money in the mornings. We can eat and be off to the parks in a flash! I am thinking they are allowed at all resorts -hope I'm noty mistaken.
