Do any of you take a cooler backpack into the parks? Is it worth it to have a few cold waters on you for those blistering hot mornings? If so, what particular brand do you have? Considering looking around for one that meets the size limit.

We use this one - it is small enough that is it not cumbersome, but big enough to fit a good amount of water & the plus of a zipper pouch.

EDITED: We use this just for water - DH carries this & I carry a regular backpack for all other items (autograph book, sunscreen, other park essentials).

If I carry water in, it's one bottle in my bag. Sometimes my DH will bring a few extra in a regular light drawstring backpack.
We do refill them with the free water from qs locations. Or sometimes we just forget the water bottles and just get the free water.

So we tried a cooler backpack last trip and abandoned it for a regular backpack. My original thought was about keeping drinks cold in the heat. However, I never considered other stuff that had to go into the backpack getting wet. My kids have autograph books for instance, and that wouldn’t work in there.
Just some food for thought.

I just bring in one of the stainless steel insulated bottles filled with ice. I just top it off with the free water I get from QS locations and the ice lasts me all day.

You could also look into a dual compartment tote or backpack - we have a minnie mouse one that my SIL gave us (I have no idea where she got it, it's many years old) and it worked great in the parks! It was a regular tote bag in the upper compartment and the bottom third was a zippered insulated compartment. Waters and cold snacks/sandwiches went into the insulated portion and everything else was kept dry in the regular compartment.

We put a "6 pack cooler" for water in our regular backpack. We put things like autograph books in a gallon ziplock back b/c then you can just grab that and go.
I can't stand the taste of the water from FL, not enough lemon in the state to cover that flavor
