I was outside today and guess what I realized?

there are caterpillars cocooning on one of our trees!
and we have yet another woodpecker in our backyard!
The caterpillars look so odd. Nothing like they normally do! =]

When we were in first grade we had class caterpillers. They were so cool. They were a lot of fun to look at Then when they went into their cacoons we were all amazed. It was so cool, their life cycle fascinated us. Then when they bloomed in butterflies oh they were so pretty! And then we let them go fly south or whereever they fly in the winer It was a lot of fun.

So watch their progress, it's awesome!

that's really cool. I remember in Pre-school our class had catapillars and when they turned into butterflies we had a ceremony and our class let them go, it was cute!

Wow that is so cool! We sometimes have weird catepillars that hang off trees on what looks like spider webs.
