Ok, so I just read that there's a Nestle cookie baking experience in Epcot, and the Keg tapping at Germany (Epcot)....I am wondering what other things there are like that in ALL of the parks?? I LOVE doing stuff that is kinda off the beaten path, and I would have never known about this stuff if it wasn't for this board. So please, share with me (and everyone else) your favorites!!

Storytime with Bell in MK. I'm not sure this is off the beaten track enough, but its never been too crowded when we went.

Candy making in Japan. They always have the times posted. This is something you do not want to miss.

We loved doing the wine tasting in all the different countries. There is a fee, but having all that great wine explaned to us was wonderful. In Germany, they had a "wine" for my daughter. She thought that was cool.

There are TONS of stuff like this! :) Try looking on this board.. in the "sticky threads" topic there should be a link to a "wdw secrets" thread. Also, http://allearsnet.com/tp/ola.htm has tons! I can't wait to see some of the stuff I haven't seen. It makes the experience all the more magical. :)

stop at the Main Street Bakery for breakfast. Take your tray out and backtrack to the little side street just before the bakery. There are some little tables at the end where you can sit and eat. No matter how busy it is on Main Street, it is quiet and peaceful there. If you listen closely, you can hear someone in one of the upstairs rooms practicing the piano.

See you in the World. :earsgirl:

If you have an early tee time at Magnolia, you could be selected to place the pin on the 18th green for the day.

We sort of like Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk Resort. Good for one night of piano and beers, they play requests.

A lot of people probably know about this, but my favorite is Club Cool in Epcot. It's always air conditioned in there, and free refreshments!! As long as you know what's good, you can drink as much soda as you want! :thumbsup2 A great way to beat the heat in the summer!

Tell me more about Club Cool, I haven't heard of this??? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

It used to be called Ice Station Cool. It is just next to the large fountain in Future World heading towards World Showcase. Looking toward World Showcase, it is on your right. They have drink dispensers with different types of soft drinks which are sold in different countries of the world.

We've let our DD6 participate in the Culinary Adventures for Kids at WDW. When we went to Le Cellier we told our server we wanted our child to participate in this program. She brough our DD back to the kitchen and she helped make our salads for the beginning of the meal with the chef. She also got to do the same thing at Ohana. She brought our appatizer platter to the table with the waiter. She helped place the food in the dishes. She also got to help prepare the bread pudding for dessert.

If you want your child to particpate in the program ask your server when you sit down to eat if he/she can participate in the Culinary Adventures for Kids. He/She will love it. The waiter/waitress will let you know if it is ok for your child to participate. If the restaurant is extremely busy they may not be able to participate.

Nestle Baking experience?? Key tapping in Germany..?
Please tell me more! I LOVE COOKIES!!!!

Goofy rides the first trip on the Barnstormer each morning in the first car with the first kid in line. We missed the first group, but my boys enjoyed seeing him on the coaster.

I know this has been mentioned, but I second the Story Time with Belle. We never intended to see this, there were seats and we were tired :teeth: . But it was so neat. My son, then about 7, got picked to play Papa in the story. There weren't many people, and it was very interactive.

i kind of "saw" the cookie baking in Epcot- and you know how sad i am- i was not even interested and it was right there. i think it is in the land--- kind of hidden in a corner.....we were sitting eating ice cream downstairs. i am sure someone else can "fill in the blanks" :rotfl:

however- whats this about the keg tapping in germany- DH would like that one! :thumbsup2

Ah, the keg tapping...I read about it on here...I believe it is on Thurs-Sat @ 2:45 PM in the Germany part of Epcot. I will let you know how it goes :)

Doing those things are what makes Disney so enjoyable. That is why we like to go for longer periods so that we have time to slow down and smell the cookies baking! :teeth:

The cookie baking is/was a corner of the Land. At least a couple of years ago they got chef's hats and got to help mix cookie dough and it gets put into t 'special' oven that cooks them quickly and they get to eat the cookie and keep the paper chef's hat. Very fun.

I like all the street performers at Epcot and MGM.

Watch for a street performance in MGM that's like the old "Dating Game". When we were last there it was not on any schedule and was performed in the afternoon in front of the Villians gift shop. I just happened to be coming out of the store when they were gathering people around and it was by far, the single most hillarious show I have ever seen in my life. If you don't see this on the schedule, ask a cast member about it and be SURE not to miss it.
