The monorail is back to it's full loop - great view of the new Nemo ride construction. By asking the CM at the head of the loading queue in Tomorrowland, we were able to sit in the cockpit with the pilot. So cool!:cool1: The cockpit can only seat 5 and you may need to wait for one or two to pass, but the experience is worth the wait.

They let you do this on the Mark Twain Riverboat too. They will take up to 4 guests in the pilothouse and let you 'drive' the riverboat. You can't see Nemo from up there, but you do get to sound the whistle. And if the train happens to be going by they salute each other with 'Shave and Haircut'. Listen for it if you get a chance.

From what I have read and experienced personally in January, they have suspended this little perk while the YOMD is going. Now it is a "dreams prize". :snooty:

We did get to do it once during the 50th and it was a highlight for my kids. We also rode in the nose cone of the monorail twice during that visit. So much fun to have these little insider tips!

That is a bummer, but I guess as long as someone gets to do it then it makes their day. We did it during the 50th too and the video footage of our 5-year-old being so serious about driving the riverboat and not making it crash into Tom Sawyer Island is our favorite.

The nose cone and tail cone? of the monorail definitely makes it a neater ride. Now that it is back to it's full loop that is even better.

Yup us too! We sat in the front **** pit at night and got to see all the amazing lights around DCA and DL. We had to wait for the next train so we could sit up front. The feel at night is so different than during the day.

I want to ride again at night to see the lights. Daytime was fun. We waved at lots of backstage CM's (and Stitch) as we traveled. DD thought Stitch walking backstage was hilarious. Makes me wonder where she thought they went after autographs??:confused3 And, yes, you can ask to sit in the tail section also. It's bigger, but I don't know how many passengers it holds.

Stitch tried to steal my Rice Krispe... only problem was there was a glass between me and him :P

Ah, so Stitch and Albort hang out together. Another tid-bit for the hunt... :tiptoe:
