We were waiting around trying to be in the background of the Christmas parade and watched a CM doing crowd control play with a young guest. I made an album over at ImageStation of the two of them.
This guy was way cool - he played with this little girl for hours. They played ring around the rosy, they played hand games, she pointed out characters to him. It was great. We gave him a badshoe pin for outstanding geust service.
The mom said the little girl was talking marriage. She cried when she had to go to dad.
I sent an email to the CM yesterday with the link to the pictures.
As far as I'm concerned, that is what the Disney "magic" is all about.
If you're so inclined, you should write a letter if you haven't done so already. Disney management really does pay attention to those letters, and they do go into the CM's work record/file.

I'm so glad that the CM got to see the pix too....now it's time to share them with his manager!

Dear Disney
It has been my great pleasure to write about Disney Cast Members who give our family service that exceeds expectations. This is the first time I have written our praise of someone for giving that kind of service to someone else.
The Cast Members name is Adriel Soto. I met him in the Magic Kingdom.
We were sitting on the curb waiting and watching the filming of the 2002 Christmas parade. Across the street Adriel was on crowd control. Instead of just standing there he was playing with a family he was front of.
Through the afternoon this young man played with a group of kids and one little girl in particular, keeping them entertained while waiting for the next show piece to come into place for filming. They played hand games. They played ring around the rosie. It was very touching.
I capture some of their play on pictures just because their play me feel so good. I know the rest of the girls family enjoyed watching them. The little girl was in love.
I think I captured some of the Magic. Please pass on our appreciation to Adriel and his manager.
After a visit to DL last summer I sent a letter to the Manager at DL Hotel referencing the attention our reservation was given by 2 of the reservationist. Not one, but two CM's went out of their way. I know that my letter was read because I received a letter from DL Hotel thanking "Me" for taking the time to let them know about these wonderful CM's.
So KUDO's to all who take the time to give praise when it's deserved. It's sure to make someones day a little brighter.

It's just such a lovely magical story and one that I'm sure the CM will be rewarded for - I think it's a great idea to highlight these instances to the Management Team and how fantastic that you got a reply - this has brought a nice smile to my face today
