Agree with Chell...my favorite cooking show does steaks in the skillet, and once I tried that method, I never went back to the other way!
I do most roasts in a crock pot, but the Le Creuset does a roast just fine. The nice thing is that all the yummy caramelization can be made into a nice gravy once you take the roast out!
Le Creuset for soup, stew, marinara sauces. You might get a bit of sticker shock at a good stock pot, but they are worth every penny. If you think about the cost by weight, it's also a good deal
