Hi, I just returned after 10 nights at the BCV. We had a group of 11 people and had a 2 br and studio. We had a blast ... the parks are somewhat crowded ... one of the CMs said that attendance is up 18% this year over last. We did well by going early and late and using fastpasses.
I had asked at the front desk for permission to have the pizza party before I went ahead and made the arrangements. They said "fine".
I planned a pizza party one night by the quiet pool...some friends who were also staying at the BCV joined us to make a party of 17. We ordered pizza from Poppa Johns (407-477-7777) and I made a big salad. We had a cooler full of sodas and beer. I had a box with paper plates, napkins, cups, and plastic forks and knives. It was a lot of fun...the kids swam, ate pizza, swam, ate pizza - the adults did too. It was a cinch to clean up.
Another night we had a cookout with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. It also went great, and we had a lot of fun.
It is so hard to feed a crowd in the villas and going out to dinner 10 nights in a row (with 5 kids no less) gets old. This was a fun and economical choice. By the way several DVCers asked for the Papa Johns number...they thought pizza was a good idea too!
