With all the grocery prices rising, I would like to cook some items from scratch and maybe in a larger quantity to freeze some for another time. What are your all time favorite recipes that you cook from scratch that are also good to freeze?

Spaghetti sauce and meatballs. Freeze the meatballs on a cookie sheet and then bag them up in a ziplock baggie. Freeze sauce in the screw top ziplock containers in meal size portions. Super cheap meal if you can get the canned tomatoes for one dollar each or less!

Veggie soup - buy what's on sale and cut up and cook with chicken broth (make your own or store bought). Then I freeze in quart sized containers and make other soups from leftovers.

Leftover taco meat - Taco soup (add meat and a can of tomatoes)
Leftover chicken - Chicken noodle soup (shreaded chicken and some egg noodles)

If I make chicken I make A LOT of chicken (rather than getting one to feed my family, I buy a big one when they're on sale) then shred the meat and freeze for other meals.
