Cooking a ham in an oven bag?

I do not eat ham, so I rarely have to prepare it.

We have a half uncooked, bone in ham. I am going to cook it as per the oven bag recommends.

Do I need to season it? How do I season it? Or will just being in the bag season it enough?

I need to cook it tomorrow and we will reheat (any tips on doing that) on Christmas Day.

Are you sure it is raw. 90% of hams sold at stores are pre-cooked and reall holly need heating or a warming seasoning.

I've used an oven bag for a ham many times. I don't season it at all just follow the cooking directions. They work very well for keeping the ham from being dried out.

I use the bag and I place cloves in the ham and a few in the bottom of the bag.

Mine are always precooked as well. I rub it down in brown sugar and dump a can of canned pineapple in, leaving some of the pineapple on top of the ham. It is SO good. This is the way my mom always does it, and I was (am) a picky eater, so it's a winner!

Yep - it is uncooked. It says so right on the label.

Normally if we buy ham it is fully cooked - just reheat and we are good.

Thanks!
