Cookies on my computer -- are they edible?

Here's the message I got at MemoLink after having successfully clicked on two (2) preious links:


"Your browser has the cookies option disabled or does not support cookies.

In order for you to take the survey, your browser must support cookies and JavaScript.

After you have fully enabled your browser, click here to take the survey."


I got a similar message at CR after having successfully clinked on two (2) links.

I use IE although I couldn't tell you which version because I can't recall and don't know where to look for the version number at.

So, how do I enable my cookies and JavaScript? It confuses me (easily done) because I can do two (2) clicks on each site (CR & then MemoLink) and then I get this cookie stuff. I wish it was a chocolate chip cookie -- I'd know what to do with that!!

right click on your IE icon then select properties then advanced now check the following boxes Mircosoft VM all three boxes also there may be a line about enabling cookies depending on which version of IE you use ck that also. To find out which version you use go to File-Edit -View click on View then help it will tell you your version.

If you have IE 6, it's under Tools / Internet Options / Security Tab / INTERNET (highlight the icon) / CUSTOM Level (click on it) / Scripting / Scripting of Java Applet should be enabled.

If you have other versions of IE, it'll be somewhere in internet Options also. Just look for Java and enable it.

I wish it's as tasty as chocolate chip cookie. :O

I checked all that (found out I have IE 6.0) and as for my cookies and JavaScript ... all enabled. I was fairly certain they were because I didn't know how to find all that to un-enable it. Plus, PCH & LuckyPoints worked okay earlier today for me.

Hmm, maybe Gremilins got into my computer?

Just to be safe I'll run Norton's, AdAware and clear my cookies. Maybe it was just a fluke.

I have also had this message from time to time despite everything being set properly. I simply keep trying and eventually it works. Sometimes I move to another item and then come back to the problem one. Eventually they all do work. I have no idea what is going on!

Glad I could make your day a little better. Only now you've got me thinking about Girl Scout Cookies. Actually, cookies sound pretty good for breakfast, just don't tell my kids -- I'm making them eat a nutritional breakfast.

Not that I'm happy you've had the same problem but at least it lets me know it's not something I've done. Thanks, I'll do like you and if / when that happens I'll just go back to that one later. I ended up not doing anymore programs last night thinking it was just going to happen on all the programs.
