I really liked some of the locations to get married and I'm a Disney World freak but part of me still wonders if I will be getting a cookie cutter wedding. There are so many weddings going on at Disney World, I don't know if we'll be getting at attention I want. Also, I don't like how we're making all the decisions for our wedding in one day: photographer, cake, chef, flowers....... seems just pushed out. Did anyone feel that way- those of you who are already married? Is anyone planning feel this way? I'm in the Orlando area so I'd much rather do everything slowly... Is anyone else from Florida?

The best part about a disney wedding is you can be as involved as you want to be...As a local...its easier to spread things out...and not do one big meeting session with your coordinator...I know we went to Franks more times then i can count....and got to meet everyone from our photographer to our florist...Plus you have the chance to "peak in at other weddings"...I'm not saying go stand and watch...you want everyone to have a special day...but after the wedding you can go and take a look...(I was having issues with how the WP would look)....
And while it may seem like they are popping out more weddings then can be counted...this has its goods ...They've seen it all...and can make wonderful suggestions....
But as a bride you get to make your day anyway you plan...nothing is standard...give them your vision and they will create it...

I did not feel like I had a cookie cutter wedding at all. Though WDW does do lots of weddings every year, they understand that it's your special day. They even do their absolute best to be sure brides don't run into each other on the same day. Disney will let you customize your wedding so it's a true reflection of your tastes. Also, don't be afraid to ask about things--they are great with suggestions as well.

As far as deciding everything at once, many brides have to do that since they aren't local and can't really come for multiple planning sessions/site visits. I had two visits total--one site visit and one planning session. I didn't feel rushed at all. I just absorbed all the information I was given and went home and thought it through. I'm sure that since you're local Disney would work with you to spread the planning out a bit. I would just address my concerns about the planning with them. :)

Yes, you do make decisions in one day when you go for your planning session, however there were things that I changed, and worked on after the fact. I feel like there are so many different options with disney, that no two weddings are alike!

I have n ot had my wedding yet but I am in the process of planning. By the time I am married I will be planning the wedding for almost 2 years!!! I think there are just soooooo many options at disney that you can do something toatlly different and out of the box or something totally traditional. For me I like that you could do a combo of both -semi traditional but not cookie cutter! Hope this helps. :goodvibes

I think I know what you mean by cookie cutter. To echo what everyone else said, you really customize it to you! From everything that you choose, it is all about you. The other great things is that Disney has alot of different locations to choose from for your vows. Look around, and if there is a location that is not on the list you can ask, just like you can ask about flowers, and about cake!!! There is nothing Disney can't pull out for you!

Thanks for all the responses guys!! You really cheered me up :) I don't think "cookie cutter" was exactly the right word for what I meant. I just wanted to make sure that everything would be exactly how I've envisioned and I don't want to compromise too much...if that makes sense, haha. Anyways, thanks for sharing your experiences!! I will keep you posted
