On this trip we had lots of time to take it easy and just sit and enjoy our surroundings. I ended up eating at Cooke's 3 times in our 10 day trip.

Twice I had the shrimp, which was quite good for counter service shrimp. I used their mustard sauce which added a delicious tang to my meal.
The third time I did the traditional fish and chips and as has always been the case they were wonderful. The fish was fresh, hot and crisp and the chips were done just right.

On my second trip in I got brave and decided to try the white lump on the counter for my dessert. Turns out it's one of my favorite foods in the world and I just didn't know it at the time. (I used to make these with my mom as a child)
They were large merengues plopped on top of their to-die-for ice cream with fresh strawberries. Oh good heavens! Bad diabetic I was!
I have NOT seen this dessert listed in any online menus so you may have to just take note of the merengue on the counter there by the cash registers, under a glass dome.
Also the dessert is easily big enough for two.

An interesting observation while I slowly dined on my treats.........it was late enough in the evening that they began their shop cleaning for the night.
Might I just say an emphatic WOW!!!? If you're looking for a clean clean CLEAN place to eat this will be your spot.
As they cleaned I started looking around and truthfully couldn't find dirty corners or edges on anything there!

No matter how busy they were the workers were always pleasant, helpful and worked as quick as they were able to. They even smiled when they were cleaning!

My husband and I give high marks for this restaurant in all areas...service, price, quality of food, cleanliness and speed!

It's one of our favorites, too.

That mustard sauce is good on everything! :thumbsup2

I just wish you could still get the doh bar as a dessert with the dining plan. We ended up with ice cream and used snack credits for doh bars. It was WAY too much food & we wasted the ice cream. :(

We really enjoy Cooke's, and if no one has ever tried the doh bar, go get one!!

Were you on the DP wondered if you could get that as your dessert with your QS meal. Can't wait to try it next week it will be our fist time trying Cooke's

Nope!
They give you the option of ice cream, a fruit cup or a cookie.

We got the ice cream and used snack credits for the doh bars. It was WAY too much food!!! We waisted most of the ice cream. Next time I'll get the cookie & take it back to the room for later, because I'm not skipping the doh bar!!!

The one I had was Snickers. I don't remember if they offered others.

We ate there twice in December and loved it. It really was the best counter service I have had at DD. I had there Battered Burger and Chips which is a hand battered beef burger topped with garlic mayonnaise, tomato chutney and mixed greens for $10.95. I have to say that it was the best burger I've ever had at WDW.
