Cook Book

I have a "vintage" cookbook.
"Cooking with Mickey around our world: Walt Disney Worlds Most requested recipes" c.1986

This is from the year I was a newlywed and stayed home and my mother took my sixteen year old sister to WDW.

Pre-Animal Kingdom - no recipe for Zebra Domes!

I made the French Onion Soup and it was very easy.

It took some time...but it was quite simple.

There were a bunch available in the World of Disney store at DTD.

Is this the same cookbook as their previous ones? I would like to know what receipes are in it..I have all the cookbooks put out since the 80's and a couple are the same, just different titles/covers.

I love all of these WDW cookbooks. They really are great fun to use. :)

Hey Kevin - does this one actually have a table of contents?

We have ALL of the Disney cookbooks and the problem I had with Delicious Disney was that they went for that artsy style and left out a table of contents with specific recipe names - they have categories that aren't helpful. You either have to memorize the book to know what's in it or just guess.

The ease of the Disney recipes depends on the kitchen they come from. Anything from the highest end places, like the Napa Rose here in DL, has multiple parts and slightly complex layers. It takes time and patience, but not to hard. Anyone who has ever tried to follow Julia Child through all the steps to make a true coq au vin or beef bourgenoin will have gone through that. :thumbsup2
