I didn't vote since neither answer worked for me.
As a solo camper, in general yes I would eat at campsite. But with my first trip to FW Oct 2007, for me eating out would be more economical for several reasons.

- as of now I will be tent camping, though this is seriously being nixed for a poss purchase of a A-frame camper. So things like a microwave, crock pot just would not work, since all would have to be stored in my car when not in use.

- even if I have the camper, the only thing I would poss cook would be a crock pot recipe. I don't plan on a microwave, though I will bring my coffeemaker.

- Ok...I will have my cereal for breakfast, but will have to buy the banana everyday  .
Usually I will eat in a park for lunch, and dinner usually consists of snacks.

So for me it sort of both ways. Will eat breakfast mostly at campsite w/ poss of one visit to breakfast buffet. Lunch is CS at parks, and dinner is just snacking.

I'll admit that I haven't read every single reply so some others may have the same idea that we use.

We combine both "camper cooking" and "eating out" and the eating out costs zero, that's right, nothing. Between FW trips, usually one per year, we use our Disney VISA Rewards Card for almost all purchases including gasoline and groceries. This is ALWAYS paid in full each month. When at Disney we use the rewards to pay for our special meals, impromtu snacks, and sometimes even "pins". On our last trip in May our food bill was completely covered by reward points (and we even had a few points left over for the next trip).

Think about it.... It works for us.
