I'm sitting here looking at the air nz online booking page - great sale fares $4581 for 5 of us next May (Mel-Lax) but I can't bring myself to actually click that button.

I love DL, my kids love DL, hubby will come along to keep us happy :-) my youngest would have her 7th b'day while we are there, but I'm too concerned about our dog to actually book. Please tell me that I'm being silly...

Book it, Danno!

Is there anything specific you are worried about with the dog?

Go for it Mel. We're going in May. We paid nearly that much for 4 of us.
And the dog will love the holiday too. Ours can't wait!
Never say No to Disneyland.

Lol! Even funnier considering I just watched Hawaii 5-0 that I recorded last night.

One of our dogs got quite stressed last time we were away (in DL). She was on doggy Valium but even that didn't help. Jumping 6 ft plus fences, injuring herself jumping thru a fly wire screen/partly open window. We do have a possible sitter who she adores, and we now have another dog to keep her company.

I would book it. I don't think I would make holiday decisions because I was concerned about the family pet but I can appreciate you clearly adore your doggie. Just make sure you have a good safe option for care for the dog and go for it.

Do it! I saw those fares on Friday night and almost fell off my chair. They really are a good price. If you have a puppy sitter lined up, go for it! A 7th birthday at the happiest place on Earth? Sounds like heaven to me :)

Yay! I did it :cool1: We're going to see the Mouse :woohoo:

It took forever to pay with Air NZ's Poli banking - didn't like firefox, I was fighting with explorer, had to ring the bank and up my daily transaction limit. All of this before 7.30am this morning! lol!

175 days to go :)

Congratulations on booking!! Sounds like a good deal. :thumbsup2 You can never pass up a holiday to Disneyland!!! :rolleyes1
Have fun planning!! :coffee:

Congratulations!!!! I'll be really interested to see how you go with the SkyCouches - we're hoping to get them in September. How old are your kids?

Congrats!

You could always try to use points to upgrade...

Have fun!

Kids will be 11, 10 and 6 (turning 7). According to Air NZ kids under 12 have to be supervised by an adult with the sky couches. I'm wondering how strictly that is enforced.

If we only get one couch ($200) we would be sitting directly across the aisle from the kids. Two couches will set us back $800 LAX-AKL and $700 AKL-LAX.

LOL! I would have to actually have points to try that. I know nothing about FF programs at all, since I don't travel very often at all. Could I add this booking to their Airpoints program and then use points accrued from it for the same trip?

.

I want to know the same thing. Regardless, I think we'll get the one Skycouch and two seats in the aisle opposite and see what we do. DS3 will only be two when we go though, so he'll be happy stretched out on one of our laps and onto his seat.
