My family were loyal WDW AP holders from 2000-2013 and just always bought the vouchers or bought the APs right at the gate. However this year I want to experience the FP+ (which I think I'm going to hate) before I commit to an AP. How exactly do these conversions work? Can I buy a 6-day ticket, go to the parks to experience FP+ for a few days then if it's not as bad as I fear, get the full value of the 6-day ticket towards an AP?
I've had a DL AP for the last 10 months and it's been awesome. Old-school FPs, 10% discounts at all restaurants including counter service, Carsland, I could go on.
