Right now Amazon has a lightening deal of the day for a converter that will record your VHS tapes to DVDs for $30! I ordered one. I have so many home movies on video tape and now I can convert them myself! Hey, if it doesn't work, I'll return it and for $30 I'll risk it.

It looks like you will still need a way to record the DVD. So your computer needs to have DVD burning capabilities. Unless I am missing something?

I'd be willing to pay full price for it, if it works!

Have been trying to find a way to put all our old VHS home movies on to DVD, without having to pay $300 for the equipment!

Had no idea you could use software to convert it!
