Can't find info on this anywhere.

We are going to Paris from 9th - 16th Nov and looking at getting AP for 3 adults & 2 kids.

Problem is Saturday Nov 10th is a blackout date for Francilien & Fantasy Passes.

This is the day after we arrive and the kids will be rearing to go :moped:

The plan was to buy single day tickets and upgrade to AP's then.

If we buy day tickets and use them on Sat 10th - Will that prevent us from upgrading to the Francilien AP.

Thanks.

I don't know if I understand correctly...
But AFAIK, you can buy any AP and it will be valid even if that day is a restriction day (check it, though).

BUT... if the AP are Frencillien, you will not be able to use them the next day and the following one (you buy them on day 1, you use them, but they are not valid for day 2 and 3)

yes, this is right. So if you plan to buy a Francillien AP, you could do that on 10th, but then you couldn't use it on 11th or 12th. Fantasy APs have no non-contractual dates, so if there is no blockout on the Fantasy for 11th or 12th, you could buy that one on the 10th and use it for the duration of your holiday.

How do I check?

That's a pain

I guess it's a question of either going on sat 10th and skipping sun/mon then going again from tues on, or paying extra for the fantasy pass.

What are peoples thoughts? We intend on coming back at LEAST once within the 12 months if not twice. I think the Fantasy tickets might be better value in that case?

EDIT!!

I also see there is a 20% discount if 5 or more fantasy passes purchased at once which would be ¬127 per AP. Decision made I think :)

are all 5 of you immediate family, living at the same address? If so, yes, you can get the 20% family discount on either fantasy or Dream APs when bought at DLP. Its for 5 passes bought at the same time only - if there are more than 5 of you you won't get the 20% discount on the 6th etc pass.

info here says it's for 5 or more. it's me, partner, 2 kids & her mother

Family Discount
For the purchase of 5 Annual Passports or more by the same family (same surname) at the same time.

We are not married so dont have same surname - could be a problem??

You have to prove that you all live at the same adresse so a bill or a rent book for example with all the adults names on it otherwise you won't be allowed to have the reduction.
