Convert CRT from paid to table credits?

Several months ago I booked a ressie for CRT and had to pay in full at the time of booking. A while after that, I booked a vacation package with the Dining Plan. My question is, can I use my dining credits to pay for CRT and get a 'refund' of my cash already paid for the ressie? How would that work? :confused3 Thanks!

I had to do this on a previous trip. I remember I called in to dining to attempt to make the change and get a refund posted to my card twice with no results. I was advised here to just take care of it at CRT's front desk when we got there. Sure enough, our refund was credited to our cc shortly after our ADR.

So unless things have changed (this might have been the 2008 trip?), for me the best thing was to just wait until we got there.

I had to do the same thing for our trip last December. I called dining and they helped me out. BUT...and its a big BUT. They had to cancel my paid reservation and rebook the reservation with my dining plan. I help my breath the whole time because it could have been possible for the reservation to be scooped up by someone else during the swap. Everything worked out fine in the end, but it was still scary.

I would call dining and see what they say. If I had the option to switch when you got there like the first poster suggested, that may be a better route as there are no scary moments!

Thanks- that's exactly what I am afraid of so I am hoping I can just settle it up when we get there. Anyone else have experience with this situation?

I just did this on Sunday, it took three phone calls to get someone who would transfer me to a supervisor but the supervisor was able to make an "overbooking" he called it first, and then cancel my original ADR that was booked on my CC so there was no chance of me losing my reservation time.

It can definitely be done, just insist to the original person that answers the phone and if they won't help you call back until you get someone that will.

Also, it only took 1 day for the refund to show up on my card. I called Sunday night and the refund posted today.
