Is the new PM, or Conversations, private? I see on the home screen conversations between members. It also shows that someone started a conversation with "you", or me, but I went to conversations and don't see anything.

Conversations are private. The posts you are seeing between members are Profile posts. They may not know everyone can see Profile posts.

You can be confident that no one sees the Conversations.

Yes, "conversations" are what PMs were on the old board. In order to start a conversation, you can either click on a person's avatar or hover over "inbox" in the upper right. Then click on "Start a Conversation". You can converse with up to 10 other people at a time, or just one.

Don't know about emailing a member. Haven't found that yet.

As noted the messages you see on the main DISboards page are "Profile Posts". They are viewable by anyone signed in on DISboards. "Conversations" are private.
