Conventions the 1st Week of December?

Does anyone know what conventions are in town the first week of December that is making it so hard to get good deals?

All of the Disney internet groups (Mouse Ears, RADP, etc.) are having their annual get together that week.

The Florida Democratic Party Convention is on December 5-7 at the Coronado Springs Resort. Their website says all rooms at the Coronado are sold out. They are now offering rooms at CBR for $89.

I read here about an automotive convention from Orlando using Disney hotels for overflow. Also, the Pop Warner football and cheer groups start around the 7th.

I'm already booked at CBR for those dates. Can I get that rate for $89 instead, or do I have to be a FDPCer? Doesn't seem fair not to offer it to everyone.
