Convention Tickets

I found a post that talked about convention tickets. What kind of checks do the front gate employees have when they are checking convention tickets. If we have convention tickets and we are not attending a convention will they not allow us to use them.

They don't do any kind of verification at the turnstiles at DLR on convention tickets. If you have a valid ticket, convention or not, you get in. However, convention tickets do not come with any Magical Morning privileges.

Can I ask what convention you got your tickets through?

i did not get them yet. there was a post for gay days and a link from that site for tickets to be purchased at convention prices.

Convention tickets are ONLY valid 3 days before til 3 days after a convention! Gay days convention runs Oct 3-5 but the tickets you buy through gay days are valid only Nov 30-Oct 14. Just FYI

yup, just noticed they are advanced purchase tickets. anyone know of a convention in early august.

Here's the actual quote from their site:

Welcome Gay Days Anaheim! Tickets valid from 9/30/08 to 10/14/08.

I believe this to mean your first day of use has to be on 10/14/08, then you have up to 13 days to use the remaining days.

To the OP, I have used gaydays tickets in past years with great success even though I never have attended their convention. Unfortunately they have changed vendors this year which has limited the time in which to use them.

As long as you stay on property and are there within that short window (Sept 30 - Oct 14) then there is no difference!

i bought gay day tickets last year (they were cheaper than military base) and were not asked for id at the gate. same as the year before, we had military tickets, we were not asked for id.

Isn't the time in the parks their convention? Are there other events?
