Convention at Disney

Depends...I have been at a few events at the GCH and we were so dang busy we never had enough down time to even go into the parks....and since I was the only one with an AP at the time and there were no ticket perks for the rest of the attendees and staff it after convention hours was really no better than any other convention hotel.

Nobody has conventions at Disneyland because in non-pandemic times, it would be easier to charter private jets for all your attendees to have the convention at Hong Kong Disneyland than it would be to have it at Disneyland. It's relatively easy to rent Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland as company but I don't really see anybody renting lands at Disneyland.

If you're talking about conventions at the Disneyland hotels, they're OK, especially if you can get special ticket pricing for attendees. But for most businesses, your attendees will probably prefer having it at the Marriott or the Hilton so they can stay closer while earning hotel points. If you were picking these hotels though, you might as well pick another city with a bunch of chain hotels next to each other. If I were a conference organizer and was for some reason forced to pick a Disneyland hotel, I'd pick the Disneyland Hotel over the other two options.

If you're having a larger convention and asking about the Anaheim Convention Center, it's actually not too bad if you can get food to the area. Usually that means catering or hiring food trucks for the event. Depending on the attendees, I'd probably pick Orlando, Atlanta, Phoenix or Las Vegas over Anaheim though.
