Continental Express emergency landing...

Oh boy, I will be flying Continental Express from Corpus Chrisit to Houston on May 28.... on the same model plane that had the blown tires.... I was originally scheduled for that exact flight from IAH to MSP before my flight was changed....

I am not worried at all, but you never like to see something like that happen right before you fly....

Having a blown tire on a flight is really not a major deal. The media tends to make a bigger deal out of it than anyone else. Pilots practice for this type of "emergency" all the time.

ERJ-145's are nice airplanes to fly in, both from a pilot's perspective (ie: state of the art cockpit) and a pasenger's perspective (2-1 seating and oversized windows)

No Big Deal.

There is no model used by our domestic airlines that hasn't been involved in either a crash or major emergency. The ERJ is an exceptional aircraft and Continental has grade A pilots...

I think the good news is that everything was fine. Proves that pilots can handle emergencies.
