Continental breakfast trial at Kidani

This was my only complaint from our last Kidani stay. I don't mind walking to Jambo in the afternoon or evening but it's tough to trek over there for breakfast. We don't do dining plan so this will be perfect for us. I hope it's still in place in October.

It's definitely good to see them doing something about the lack of food options at Kidani, especially for breakfast. But the choice is a bit lacking, even though it is supposed to be 'continental' they could add a few more things maybe? (food-wise) but i think it's because of the quantity - there's only a small selection of each food items so that's probably why to me it looks pretty unexciting.

That's what they are missing.

Start the day off right with a 6-pack of Zebra Domes!

Well, seriously,it would be nice to see something unique. I don't think any of the good, hot items from Boma would work after transportation.
While not traditional, what if they stole some Beignets from PORFQ? I think that would be a worthwhile trip!

I think it's great that it's that still another food option. To me that's good news. No hot items but maybe they will expand it with time.

I really like Kidani but do prefer an QS meal from time to time. Since we usually stay in a studio, I thought we'd probably stay mainly at Jambo House and save some points by staying in a value. However, if I can get a savanna view studio and still have a QS available I might change my mind.

Now if they would just increase the menu and get a real QS restaurant besides the limited service at the pool then we'll have it made.

I agree with most comments, a big pull for us is having a kitchen so it is cereal every morning for the kids. Often it is excessive to get room service when we just want a fresh croissant or danish as a treat and it was really nice. We compared the costs to those of the room service menu and they seem to be $2 or so cheaper in most cases and better than adding the delivery charges etc.

And in case I didn't add it earlier real coffee!!! seals the deal alone for me, double expresso for me tomorrow from behind the Sanaa bar not many QS have that :rolleyes1

Simba's Mom it is open 7am - 11am - that does effectively make Sanaa open all day now so maybe it wouldn't be such a leap to hot food and then table service.

Something tells me that Sanaa could have a really good breakfast menu. I would love some naan with over easy eggs and a good cup of coffee ;)

This must be a test to see how well a QS dining at Kidani will do. If it proof to be popular, maybe they will open a QS location for real. I'd suggest everyone who is going to stay at Kidani in the near future to support this test run.

So what comes in QS meal from the sanaa continental breakfast? Can the drink be real cappucino?

Thank you for this update. This makes me very happy even if it is just a trial. Kidani is our home resort and the only thing I dislike about it is the lack of a QS location.

I hope they still have it when we are there in May & June. This would be great for us...I would be even more excited if they would add some of those chocolate chip pastry things that I've only seen at Jambo concierge. They're not the chocolate croissants you see everywhere- these have chocolate chips and big sugar-crystal-looking things. I LOVE THOSE THINGS!

I am thinking that if this is fairly popular maybe they will make it more like BCV where there is a QS option for all meals. It is nice to have some grab and go options (even if you have similar items delivered the fresh muffins, croissants etc. would be nice).

I like having this option..hoping it takes!

This is great news. I know the menu is limited but it's definitely a step in the right direction.

This is good to see and hopefully it will open up more options for dining at Kidani in the future. Not sure how much we would use it as we always get our breakfast items delivered by We Go Shop and breakfast in our room. However it would be worth a trip for the coffee, my DH doesn't drink coffee so it always seems a waste putting on the coffee pot just for me!

I may be in the minority here, but I don't think we'll make use of this at all. We always make coffee in the villa and get grocery delivery for quick breakfast items like cereal, nutrigrain bars, yogurt and juice. We also always get a couple dozen eggs. We hard boil them and then keep them in the fridge for a little protein in the morning. This allows us to have a quick breakfast in our room before heading out.
We always make a few breakfast reservations, Boma, Crystal Palace, and Kona Cafe are some of our favorites.
So between the days we eat breakfast in the villa, and the days we eat a table service/buffet, we really don't make use of a quick service/ grab and go.
But it's great for those that will make use of it. It's great that they are listening to the concerns/complaints of the members.

This is great news but not something my family would be interested in unless they add eggs and bacon to the menu.:thumbsup2 Then in my opinion it would be worth it!
