Trying to fill out my API on Continental's website and it asks:

If you are not a citizen or resident of the U.S. and you are visiting the U.S., please provide one address of where you will be staying during your visit to the U.S., if available.

which I've tried putting in the address of Pop (although we're also staying at RPR) and it just keeps giving me the following error:

! We are unable to validate this specific address. Please verify and re-submit.

Is there a way to get around this? I know it does say "if available" but I know it'll be asked at some point so would rather get it done.

I don't actually understand the API system! I have also looked on my VA booking at the option and haven't done it yet because they ask you a question and give you options to answer, but not all the answers match what I think it should be! :confused3 I am trying to remember offhand what specifically had me hesitant and I think it was about my reason for visiting the US or something like that. None of the options seemed a good fit ...

I do know that I have never bothered to do it online so I dont' know if there are significant advantages to doing so beforehand. The airline has to submit this information to the US authorities as far as I remember. Whoever answers your question will probably answer mine too.

Your countdown is moving along swiftly now :woohoo:

I think you have to do some aspect of it before you go? I may be wrong though, everything else seems fine it's just the address that's the problem! I might just try leaving it blank and see what happens then. I just don't want to do it wrong!

I know it seems SOOOO close yet soooo far! I feel like it's too close as I haven't "planned" correctly, lol, I think we're just gonna have to play it by ear! I also wanted to change a Le Cellier ADR (1 of only 2 we have) and there's NO availability whatsoever :( so looks like I'm going to have to keep the ADR I've got!

I had problems with mine too. I got the address and everything in ok but when it is all submitted I come back to the original screen which has me connected to a US telephone number. I have tried my home and mobile but both come up as US contact numbers.

I am going to pop to the travel agents on Tuesday, pay off the last bit of my balance and get her to sort it. I am sure it would be ok but I like everything to be right!!

This is what you get on Virgin's website. It only has the two questions and they are:

What are your travel plans on arrival in to the US?

The options are Staying in the US/Fly drive passenger/joining a cruise/Transit to a non US city

Do I put staying in the US?

Please select your passenger type from the drop down below.

Options to answer: US Citizen/Permanent legal resident/Other

I assume this is Other(?)

My next question:

Why are government bodies apparently completely incapable of setting out both questions and answers in a non ambiguous manner? It is so simple, but you end up wondering ..... For example, the only reason I haven't submitted mine is if I say "staying in the US", do they immediately assume it is a holiday or will they then want to ensure somehow that I have no intentions of trying to stay there? At least if they had "holiday" or busines as an option, it would be crystal clear.
