Hi, has anyone flown to florida with Continental? How was the service? What was the entertainment like?

Also the flight numbers are VS 0005 and VS 0050 . I always thought that Virgin had flights beginning with VS

thanks

We flew from Manchester on Continental a few years back, it was a code share with Virgin, i.e. Virgin plane, staff etc, but Continental ticket.
The Virgin staff were great and offered to up grade us, as DW was heavily pregnant at the time (a babys not going to stop me getting me my Disney fix!), but when they discovered we were Continental passengers, they told us they couldn't! They were still good though, dw and myself ended up with 2 seats each, not as good as Prem Economy, but good nevertheless!!!

Continental are my favourite airline!!!

We have flown with them several times, the staff have been wonderful.

The plane from Manchester is a 777 a very spacious aircraft appears a lot more roomy and airy than a 747.

Continental don't have a codeshare from Manchester any more. It ended last year when we were suddenly told we weren't flying direct on the Virgin At. flight but had an indirect flight via Newark.

The plane over to Newark was excellent, plenty of legroom and good food and entertainment.

Cabin crew were not trolley dollies but I felt were much better than Virgin's synchronised swimmer lookalikes.

They do charge $4 for each alcaholic drink though, so beware. Full size cans of soft drinks are free and plentiful. Also keep your free headphones from the transatlantic leg because they charge $3 each on the internal flights, which we didn't know about. We tried lip breading but it's not very easy!!!!

Overall I thought Continental were fine, but my wife won't fly indirect again!!!!!

We have flown with Continental on two flights now. The service was great. We didnt enjoy the food much but we didnt enjoy the food on Monarch or Mytravel either so its probably just us being fussy!

Typically Continental flights direct to Orlando from the UK are Virgin code shares (if this is the case your flight number will probably be something like CO7000 or 8000), but indirect flights they do themselves.
