Yes. Our family stayed at the Madison (Loew's D.C.) for 4 nights in August. Out of all the Loew's we've stayed at, this one would be at the bottom of the list. It is more geared to business travel as opposed to vacation type stays. PLUS, there was no coffee maker in the room!!Yeaaaah!! I'm in - Good Luck, everyone !!I want to go back to Loews Coronado - that was a beautiful view ! Actually for just 3 nights maybe we'll go down to D.C. - anyone been to the Loews there?
Well, to give you an idea of how much we were spoiled, at check-in the woman at the Loew's desk asked us to wait for a second as she disappeared behind a door. As the rest of the family stood waiting, my thought was "uh-oh, we must not have a room" etc. Instead, the woman returned with the vip manager. He actually took the time to welcome us to the hotel and thank US for choosing to stay there!! Then, the next morning as we got off the elevator in the lobby, he appeared out of nowhere to ask how our stay was going. He then escorted us into the breakfast buffet (awesome!) and we watched from our table as he went around to each station chef and nodded in our direction!!! During our first trip, it rained steadily for 3 of the 4 days. We were pleasantly surprised to find huge umbrellas in the closet for our use. AND we actually got the local paper instead of the NY Times! The milk & cookies perk was enough to nibble on for most of our stay too. On our second trip right before Christmas (ds needed to check out art school nearby) we received the same treatment again! The mgr. had even gathered a pile of art brochures from a recent show for my son! The hotel itself is located right in the heart of the Art Deco district of South Beach and is THE place that celebrities stay. Needless to say, my sons, who are into fancy cars, thoroughly enjoyed their balcony overlooking the driveway and main street. Meanwhile, way at the other side of the hotel, dh and I enjoyed our balcony overlooking the ocean and pool. There is really a lot to do in the area, although I wouldn't recommend it for younger kids. There are tons of nightclubs that don't even open until 10pm or so. Lots of day tours around the islands where the stars live too. If you plan a trip there, keep in mind that the rates fluxuate according to what event is going on in the area. Also, request the highrise bldg instead of the older St. Moritz section which sits farther back from the beach. I guess you can tell we really liked the place. Thanks, Eclpz314- I thought DC looked a bit 'iffy'. We have stayed in Philly and they took very good care of us there- incredible view from the CL lounge! So now I have to ask - how is Loews Miami?
Enjoy! It looks beautiful!!Yup - massages.
Great episode as we are staying at the Loews Santa Monica in March for a cheerleading competition. We are going out a few days early so we can put those platinum benefits to use somewhere besides Orlando It was great to have a travel video of where we are going to stay.![]()

I may have to start pushing that idea around my house. I can't talk dh into a cruise, but he DOES fly well!Ask for a top floor ocean suite. Our's had really high vaulted ceilings and the bedroom had two walls completely covered in windows with panoramic ocean views. It wasn't just a parlor attached to a standard room but a gorgeous suite. We also had an adjoining two bed room for the kids. We didn't want to leave. We walked out to the pier and also did some shopping on their pedestrian only street. I'd go back in a flash!!!
