I was trying to figure out the slowest week of 2006 to go and thought it would be fun to have a contest. We could predict what would be the slowest week and why and have people that go during that week to report back on wait times and how crowded the park seemed in general. Maybe even Lentesta could tell us the numbers he got for those weeks. The prize would be all of the heart felt thanks from everyone who happens to follow the thread and receive this invaluable knowledge for future trips. Any experts out there want to give it a shot?

Well, according to my brand new, just purchased 2 days ago Unofficial Guide for 2006, the time from September 5 through 14 is all crowd level "4" days--the longest straight stretch of that level. Late November and early December are also good with several stretches of 6 straight days of crowd level "4" with an occasional crowd level "6" day mixed in.

They slowest week of the year in WDW is usually the week following Thanksgiving.

It's usually the slowest right after school let's back in session. Which would mean, the two slowest weeks are the first full week of January and the first full week of September. The disadvantage, of course is that's also when they do a lot of rehabs.

My experience is that late into the 2nd week of September or 3rd week is very quiet. Of course the hurricanes can mess this up also. Disney seems to get busier during hurricanes.
