On the online reservations for the contemporary it list a deluxe room but it does not give a rate, can anyone clarify this ?

Do you mean the floorplans on the official Disney site? If so, that is a Deluxe Garden Suite, they start at around $800+ per night.

The rates listed are for rooms only. This is a regular suite, the "Deluxe Garden Suite" category. They are located in the wings, with garden/water views. Here are the 2002 nightly room rates:

Value Season: $755
Regular Season: $830
Peak Season: $955
Holiday Season: $1080

Rates do not include 11% tax.
