Contemporary Walkway and Security.

We'll be taking a resort bus to MK and then traveling to the Contemporary for Chef Mickey. I know if we want to use the monorail for the "wow" factor, we need to go through security to get to it.

I also know that there's a security check on the path for those heading into the park, so some portion of the walkway is in the security bubble. For a party coming from the resort bus stop and walking to the Contemporary, would we still have to go through bag check or is there a section of this walkway that is fully outside of security?

The security check on the path from the CR is all the way over by the MK, right near the MK bus stops, but over underneath the monorail track, if that makes sense. If that answers your question. I'm not sure I fully understand it

Yes you do

Wait, maybe you don't. I think you can get to it without going through security. But now I'm not 100%

I went to look at Robo's maps to refresh my memory and from the looks of it, yes, you do have to go through the MK bag check. If there's a way around the bag check to reach the path I can't see it
Bag check is 6, path is 12, you can't walk in the road

That depends on where, exactly the security checkpoint is set up for those coming off the buses. You do have to walk around the long way towards Guest Relations in order to access the CR walking path. So, where is it? We never arrived at MK via bus last trip as we stayed at CR.

So yeah, gonna have to go through security regardless. I'd take the monorail in that case.

Yeah, if I have to do security either way, monorail is going to be more fun for the kiddos. Plus, it'll be mid afternoon in August, so won't mind avoiding the walk in that heat.

Ugh...yeah, take the monorail. That walk is not fun in the middle of a summer day.
