So just wondering if this should be part of our plan. We will be checking out of BLT at 11:00 and our flight leaves at 4:00 so this means the ME will be picking us up at 1:00. This is correct? Just wondering if it is doable to go to Disney Springs and eat at T-Rex and be back in time for the ME. Can we check our luggage when we check out of BLT?

You aren't leaving the hotel until 11? If so, no, I don't think you have time to get to DC, eat, and get back by 1. Can you leave earlier?

ME will pick you up at 1 at your resort. As far as timing it could be tight to take the bus and back to DS. I probably would go with something on the monorail loop.

You need to plan on being back at the hotel around 12:00. 12:15 at the latest. That means leaving DS around 11:15.

You need to check our baggage with the airline check in counter prior to 11am, I think.

Your ME time might be slightly earlier than 1PM, the last time ours was 3 hours 15 minutes prior to our flight, so you can't necessarily be 100% sure that you'll have until 1:00 and you are supposed to check in to the ME kiosk at the resort at least 15 minutes prior to your ME departure anyway, so I would expect that you might need to be at the resort by 12:30 or so.

I wouldn't plan on DS unless I were going to check out of the room early, head over there for breakfast or shopping and then plan to leave there by 11:30 or so.

It might be able to be done but I wouldn't try it.

We had a 240pm pick up for a 545pm flight last week. We checked out of BLT at 1030am and decided to go check out AKL and have lunch- our plan was to leave AKL at 145pm- a bus pulled away just as we walked up and no other bus showed up until 205pm. We bussed it to MK then Monorail back to Contemporary- we grabbed our carry on bags from bellhop and literally walked outside with 3 mins to spare.

It was super stressful- I'd stick to monorail resorts!

I would check in my luggage and head to Disney Springs and then just get a cab to MCO from there at my leisure.

We stayed at BLT recently. Our ME was scheduled for 1:30. I took my youngest to the MK that morning while DH and my oldest got in the pool. They let us do late check out at 12. I met them back around noon and we had lunch at the Wave. We have APs. I realize not everyone wants to pay for only a few hours in the park. That time goes by so fast. I would go to Poly and grab a dole whip or just check out the monorail resorts. Have lunch or a leisurely breakfast. I'm not sure I would go to DS unless you are packed up and ready to go much earlier. I would leave DS no later than 11:30 if I were you.

This is really the only way this would work, I think as, if you take a cab you really wouldn't need to leave Disney Springs until about 2 pm. T-Rex opens at 11 am, so if you are planning on using Disney transportation for this (bus from CR and back and then ME), I don't think you will make it.

As others have said, something on the monorail loop or in MK would be a safer bet. Or take the boat from CR to Ft. Wilderness (if you haven't visited already). You can visit the stables and have lunch at Trail's End.

I'd be way too stressed out. Would only go to DS if took my luggage (carry on; check rest through in the morning) and take a taxi from DS to MCO.

I'd probably eat lunch at Kona. Its great, and so much calmer at Poly during lunch (vs. dinner). Or GF - nice places to eat there too. And just a monorail ride away.

Next time walk back to the contemporary. The monorail cost you time.

Contemporary to Disney Springs is a LONG bus ride there and back. Plus, unless you eat lunch on the east side where the buses drop off .. it is a long walk through Disney Springs (and back to the buses).

I would say that it isn't worth it to try and make it there and back by that time unless you get there super early.

Besides .. even with reservation .. T-Rex is NOT a quick meal.

Thanks to all of you for your input. So glad I asked and luckily everyone agreed. We are not going to risk it and cannot do a cab because there will be 8 of us. lol Many of you mentioned the monorail loop so we would have time for that? Don't want to miss our ride to the airport. Also nice to know we could request a late check out. We would like that also and skip eating. Thanks again
