Contemporary Room Question

My wife and I leave Saturday morning for disney and we're very excited!! We checked on our room reservation as we wanted to try and get a magic kingdom view. Heres my question: they told me we could get one, but it had 2 queen beds, not a king. if we went with a king bed, it would be a lake view. my wife isnt thrilled with the idea of 2 queen beds because she knows i love to sprawl out and will probably end up in a bed by myself!! is it possible to push the beds together? if not, hows the lake view? i wanted the mk view for the balcony and fireworks view. any opinions would be appreciated! thanks.

We had the MK view, which was great. The lake views are nice, too. I'm not sure if the beds can be pushed together, if I remember correctly they can't be (I think they were on a platform, but I'm not completely sure).

The beds don't move.

I actually prefer the bay lake view to the MK.

No, the beds can't be moved. We had a bay lake view last November that was really beautiful. In fact, my computer wallpaper is a picture that I took from our balcony at sunrise. We couldn't see the fireworks at MK from our balcony, but we were able to enjoy the Electrical water pageant each night and we could also see a bit of Illuminations (very far away, though).

I'd ask again when you check in to see if they have a king room available on the MK side if that's the view you really prefer.

I had lake view and loved watching the Electrical Water Pageant every night. That would be my first choice. IMHO comfortable sleeping arrangements will add more to your vacation than a MK view. The best view of the MK is from inside the park, anyway.
