We are staying at the Contemporary the first week of December. We are in the garden wings and requested the North Wing because it is supposedly closer to MK walkway, food court. etc. Is there a specific building or room number that anyone could recommend?

Thanks!

bumping this....

I'd like to know too!!

Also... we have asthmatic kids. Is it true that the North wing is non'smoking and south is smoking?

I believe shades of green is taking up the entire north wing. South wing is near the pool. You probably should just request to be nearest to the main building as possible. The wings do have elevators so that should help also.
MKY:)

The whole South wing is not smoking. We've stayed in a non-smoking room there.

The North wing is a little closer to MK, but it's really not that long of a walk from anywhere. You should be happy there.

we would request the closest to the main building and the 3rd floor but if you can manage the up grsde the view from the tower of the mk is well worth the momories you will have forever our boys loved eeing the mk lite up befor bed and watching the fire works from our room and wake ind seeingthe mk first thing in the morning eather way were sure youll enjoy your stay there way

We had a non smoking room on the 3rd floor on South wing, overlooking Bay Lake... it was fantastic! No smell of smoke at all, and only a very short walk to the main tower. I didn't see that it was any further than the North Wing, so I wouldn't worry about that, either!

Do you remember your exact room number? We are going in less than a month. Thanks, Nancy

DisneyVa, it was 6317, I believe. It looked out over the Bay Lake, and there was a tree to the right of our window. It was really cool, in the morning, all of the water fowl would line up on the rocks on the beach. There were also these baby ducks who would follow their mother everywhere. It was a really neat view. It was definitely non smoking, and if there was smoking anywhere within that building, we certainly didn't notice it in our room, or in the hallway that we were on.

Good luck in getting that room, and hope that you enjoy it as much as we did!
