Contemporary Resort Garden View vs Theme Park View?

Currently have reservations book for the Garden view the week of 9/18/2017. Was looking into changing it to a theme park view but wondering if it was really worth spending lot of extra money on it. Beside looking at the Magic Kingdom and seeing the fireworks from the room is there anything else gained making it worth it?

I can only speak for ourselves, but we LOVED the TPV and weren't in the room much except right before fireworks a couple of nights or shortly after to go to sleep, but something about looking out at the castle and watching it change colors before falling asleep or just as we wake up, was just awesome. (Keep in mind though only certain rooms - I think odd numbered? - have beds that face MK).

We stay in a 2 bedroom, lake view villa at BLT and I would not upgrade to an MK view. I would not spend an extra $300 or so per night for an MK view as it's not worth it for us. Most of our time is spent in the parks, and if my daughter wants to watch the fireworks we'll either go to the CR observation deck or watch from the elevator area at BLT.

We stayed TPV in Sept and Nov 2016 and stayed in the garden wing this past March. The TPV is no doubt an awesome view, and we did get an odd numbered room on one of those stays, so could see the castle while laying in bed. The garden wing room was great too - although we didn't really have a view (standard view) from our room, our room was on the first floor and the patio was large and we could walk out to see the canal to the left. One benefit (to me) for staying in the first floor of Garden Wing - no elevators! It seemed we had to wait several minutes for an elevator while staying in the tower. There is nothing like walking out of your room though and seeing the monorails down below, however I would not hesitate to stay in a garden wing room again to save money. The tower is still easily accessible, the standard rooms are exactly the same on the interior (garden vs. tower) and being able to walk to Magic Kingdom is a huge advantage of staying at the Contemporary no matter which room you stay in. :)

The only thing gained with TPV is the TPV. If you don't think you will take advantage of the view or be that interested in it, I would definitely save your money.
