Contemporary resort for honeymoon?

My fiancé and I are looking into the Contemporary for our honeymoon? Has anyone honeymooned there before?? I've been to WDW at least 10 times, but have never stayed there!

We split our stay between a 1 bedroom Boardwalk villa (We're DVC owners) and the Contemporary Atrium Club. I love both resorts for different reasons. The Contemporary is the closest resort to the Magic Kingdom and there's nothing like that view of Cinderella's castle! The monorail was also a big plus as far as convenience! We also liked being on Bay Lake. We watched the water pageant just about every night we were there and it was really nice. We also did a Wishes cruise and it was nice just walking out to the marina to board the boat. I will say the Contemporary doesn't have the theming of most of the other resorts, but we had a wonderful time and would stay there again in a heartbeat! If you have any specific questions, I'll be glad to try and answer them.

I would also love to know this as well, because I would love to stay there. Also is it worth the money (the rooms, the views, the closesness to MK)

We'll be staying there for our wedding/honeymoon trip in less than a month The newly renovated rooms are AWESOME!!! We mainly chose it because it's closest to our wedding events, but also because being on the monorail can't be beat! As for the value of the cost, we're in the garden wing for most of our stay which is a little more affordable, and we got the DFTW discount of about 40% which helped a LOT!!!!

We stayed in a tower MK room for 3 days before the wedding. Since we've stayed 2 more times in the tower club (14th floor) and love it! You are so close to the MK and the views are unbelievable. The concierge service on the 14th floor is exceptional.

We stayed here on our honeymoon aswell. We stayed at the GF, AKL and CR and this was by far our favorite. We stayed on the 14th floor (had a great wedding rate) and now we have been really spoiled, I would stay here again in a heart beat.
Can't beat watching wishes from you balcony everynight with the music playing on the TV!!

The Contemporary is our favorite!!! We wanted to stay there on our honeymoon, but there weren't any rooms available - so we're staying at the Polynesian instead (which I love and we've never stayed there together - he was there on a family vacation in the 70's I think!).
I think it's totally worth it!!

I love the Contemporary... It's amazing. And great access to the monorail system. It's gorgeous and so much fun... We went late May 2003 and walked into Chef Mickeys for dinner every night and breakfast without reservations... I love the off season.
