Contemporary or Yacht Club?

One of my friends and I are thinking about going to WDW sometime next year, maybe in May or June. He hasn't been to Disney since he was young, so it will more-or-less be like a first trip.

So, would you say it would be better for two guys, early 20's, to stay at the Contemporary or Yacht Club? I've stayed at the Contemporary and really liked it, and have stayed at the Beach Club, but not the Yacht Club. Wilderness Lodge would also be a possability, where I've stayed a few times and really liked.

Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.

What do you think will be his interests (as far as Parks go?) The YC offers much better access to Epcot and MGM, yet the CR is Classic WDW, and of course is THE best access to the MK.

If these guys are anything like I was in my 20s, or my 50s for that matter, it's YC hands down. In addition to being in walking distance to half the WDW parks, there's Boardwalk with the ESPN Club, Big River Brew Co. and Jellyrolls.

We couldn't choose, so we're doing a CR-YC split!

Access to EPCOT, Disney-MGM and the Boardwalk. YC wins hands down! :)

Hey Cali-D!!!!! Definitely go with the Yacht Club... lots more nightlife and action. ;) Hope you guys have a great time!!! :cool1:

I would listen to Bill - he looks like he knows how to have a good time!

I KNOW for a fact Bill knows how to have a good time!! :wave2: Bill!! Cali...I would definitely go with the YC, since you have not tried this resort. To me, it has always had a refined masculine deco-theme, with dark woods, etc. Two young men would feel very comfy there...and could also do a "pub crawl" around the world showcase and hop the boat right back to the YC!! Start at the Rose and Crown, they have some GREAT Ale (including some souvenier tall ones, and a "world tour" of sorts...loads of fun!). ;)

Hi, dreamflight99, I wish I had your countdown numbers instead of mine.

Kallison, I may be picking your brain for ideas for our next WDW trip. We're pretty settled on an early flight out of PHL, something we've never done before. I assume that's your airport of choice.
