This thread is putting ideas in my head, so I have a few questions for you S/D enthusiasts..if you don't mind?
Someone mentioned teacher discounts..DH is a professor..would that count?
Do S/D guests get to participate in the Extra Magic Hours?
How "magical" are the resorts? I'm not expecting the same degree of theming as say..Pop Century or such, but is there any sign of Mickey and Friends at these resorts?
Right now we are booked at POR for the week leading up to Christmas. I love deluxe resorts, but just couldn't justify the huge price jump on the weeked and days right before Christmas. Only $119 the first two days, then it just about doubles.
I had no idea you could walk to any of the parks from these resorts.
Thanks for the info!
I do believe a professor counts.
As far as how magical are these resorts you won't find any hidden Mickey's or Mickey soap but the last 3 times I have stayed here I have had room views of Spaceship Earth, The Disney Boardwalk and the Tower of Terror. I am not sure how much more magical it could get then watching the Epcot fireworks from your room.
The walk to Epcot is about 10 minutes long. The walk to DHS is about double that but they are both nice walks.
One of my favorite things to do at the Swan is to end the night with a stroll around the property stopping in at Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club then walking over the the Boardwalk to see whats going on and grabbing a piece of pizza for the kids.
We have had the chance to stay at the Mk resorts over the past few trips but just cant part with the Epcot area
there is nothing like it.
