Contemporary - Marriott run? Rewards points?

I think I remember reading somewhere that the Contemporary Resort is Marriott run. Does that mean that if I have a Marriott Rewards (like frequent flyer) card that I can get points by staying there?

That is 100% false, the Contemporary is owned by WDW. Maybe you are thinking of the Swan & Dolphin, because those Resorts are owned by Westin (Swan) and Sheraton (Dolphin).

Ok - that's good to know. I swore I read that somewhere but I can't point you to where.

I figured, even if it was outsourced to Marriott that it would probably be very quiet and pretty unlikely that they'd honor the Marriott Rewards.
