contemporary lounge?

does anyone know if you ask can you put a hold on a table in the
lounge area, I have the kids taken care of for just a few hours and do not really want a full dinner, but would love in loungefor drinks and a lite bite and to celebrate my 40th bday!
but I did'nt know if this is something they will do? any info would be appreciated, thanks ahead of time!

Tables at lounges are first come first serve. At the Contemporary, the Califorina Grill lounge usually gets packed around Wishes but the crowds thin considerably when it ends.

The Outer Rim (one my favorite WDW lounges) on the fourth floor is deceptively small; it's got lots of corners and bends. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a table.

Outer Rim is a great place to relax - I will have to try one of those.

I LOVE the Outer Rim. Those drinks really pack a punch! My favorite is a Monorail yellow! YUM

CAN YOU SEE FIREWORKS FROM THE OUTERIM? THOSE DRINKS SOUND AWESOME, AND ARE A DEFINITE!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!

The OuterRim is on the Bay Lake side of the hotel, so you can't see the fireworks. It is a nice place to relax with a drink and watch the activity on the water. I haven't been there since the smoking ban was put in effect, and am wondering if Disney has replaced the furniture. Most of the seats had a smoke odor to them.

I believe they probably have replaced the furniture because the sofas and huge chairs looked brand new and you couldn't even smell a whiff of smoke (or stale smoke).

A space monkey has Kahlua, cream, banana, swirls of chocolate. I don't know what else, but after you have one you won't care what is in it anyway! LOL Ohhh it is yummmmyyyyy

Thanks for the answer - sounds delicious and will absolutely have to try one. Never had any of the food at the outer rim - I know they have a small menu that never had anything that I ever really wanted. Not like bar food from where I am from. Closest I have read is at the Wilderness Lodge where they have potato skins, pizza, buffalo burger...

The Outer Rim does serve food; the menu features appetizers cooked at the Concourse Steakhouse. Typical lounge fare: chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, etc. Last time we visited we shared an excellent cheese-and-frut dish.
