What can you tell me about this? Is is TOTALLY separate from the main Tower?

Positives and Negatives Please!

Thank you.

The wing is a separate, three story building connected by a covered walkway to the tower. Wing rooms are closer to the pool and marina, but farther from the shops and restaurants. Wing rooms do not have balconies, tower rooms do. The interior of the wing rooms is identical to the tower rooms. Personally, I like the wing rooms better. They seem quieter and the parking is closer. I don't like the elevators in the tower. They seem to take forever and half the time are too full for more people to board. I've never had that problem in the wing.

We stayed in the north garden wing, which has since been torn down. We liked it. It was an easy walk to the main building. The room was large and comfortable. We had first floor with a small patio. There were bunnies and ducks going by. We had standard view and looked out on a small pond and some trees with spanish moss. As I recall, it was a short walk between the end of the wing and the doors to the tower. And, I think it was a covered walkway. Also, in the north wing it was easy to park near our room, which we liked. That may not be the case with south tower.

The location of CR can't be beat. I would not spend the money for a tower room. We liked the garden wing just fine!

The pools were very nice, I thought. No theming, but a good slide. And the quiet pool is beautifully situated right at the edge of the lake (is that Bay Lake?).

We were there during Hurricane Charley and felt very safe and well taken care of.

Hope you enjoy your stay!

I think the garden wing is the bottom floor - so you have a patio.

enjoyed my stay there. It is nice. the car is right next to the entrance - but even in the tower the car is not far at this resort.

before the change the food court was closer to the south wing than the tower. but with the new layout that won't be so.

I might ask for a water view.

Thank you all for your help! We will be staying there in October - and are leaving tomorrow for our stay at CSR. I'll be stopping by CR to check things out for sure!

See you when we get back!

We also stayed in the now dearly departed north garden wing and really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 It was a fairly short walk to the tower, and you still have all the amenities -- minus the tower views, of course!
