I am looking for feedback on what the main differences are between the Tower Rooms and the Garden Wings. Are the rooms different, noise, proximity to buses, monorail.

Also....is there someplace quick in the morning or at lunch to grab something? Like a food court...I know about the California Grill and Chef Mickeys but if you just want a danish, egg sandwich, salad, sandwich etc.

Thanks!!!!

Also...can you see the FW from the Garden Section?

CR has a food court for that quick bite & "fast food" type meal.

The north wing is closer to the bus stop. As for the monorail, I'd allow about 5 minutes to get to the station. It's on the 4th floor of the CR. We found our north wing room very quiet & relaxing.

We really enjoyed our room in the North Garden Wing last March. :) The monorail & busses weren't very far away & the walk to the MK was much closer from this side of the resort as well. We really enjoyed being able to walk back to our room when you couldn't even get on the monorail ramp to leave the MK because it was so crowded.

There is a Food & Fun Center in the main building - we never got any food here - just our mug refills & snacks like Mickey Ice Cream bars. There is another restaurant, too - the Concourse Steakhouse. This looked like a great stop for lunch, but our trip was so short last time we just never made it there to eat. The Contemporary is a great place to stay - enjoy! :) ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Here I just answered this in another Post: HAVE FUN!!

What Can I say about the Contemporary besides that I LOVE THE HOTEL. No matter if you stay in the wing or tower its AMAZING. Both times we have booked the north garden wing- the 1st time we were put in the north garden wing room 7384 I believe - and it was a beautiful view for a standard price. Yes the parking lot was outside of our room but from our room we could see the castle, the monorail go in and out of the hotel and the space mountain dome- it was convienent to to the tower also and a skip and a jump to the bus stop. The next time they upgraded us for free to a tower room with a view of the magic kingdom. And while I will have to say this was sooooooooooo MAGICAL and I cryed when they told me- I couldnt and wouldnt pay for it since I was in the room only about 6 hrs a day just to sleep. I love chef mickeys for breakfast and the concourse steakhouse we had great dinners there. I truly think you cant go wrong so good luck and let us know what you decide

Well, the Tower rooms are a bit more convenient to everything as it's the 'main' building. You just take the elevators to where ever you want to go.

Also they have the most amazing views!!!

The rooms are the same size and same layout.

Between the South wing and the North wing, North wing is closer to the bus stop, food court and the MK walkway. South wing has smoking and North wing doesn't.

CR has one of the best game rooms, which is right next to the food court. They are open 24/7.

I'm not sure about whether or not you can see FW from the Garden view sections...when I stayed in the North wing, I had a view of the parking lot!

We love the wing rooms, I have never stayed in the tower but IIRC the rooms are the same if not very similar. We have always had 2 queen and a daybed with a table and chairs. The bottom floors have a patio and the upper floors have sliders but not balcony. The rooms on the end have a fantastic view of bay lake and the EWP, the inside rooms view the pool and the parking lot views on one side have a view of MK and you "may" be able to see some of the fireworks. I have never found them noisy.

The walk to the main building is not long and all the walkways are covered. The food n fun center is a small food court, my girls love the homemade soup and the pizza. You can get your general b,l and dinner fare and they do offer re-fillable mugs, there is a menu at allearsnet.com.

The monorial is on the 4th floor of the main building so its a short walk and then an escalator or elevator ride. The walk to MK is actually closer from the North Wing than the Tower and the walk from the South wing is a bit longer. That said its not a huge resort so "long walk" is relative. The bus stop is closer to the North Wing and the pool is in the center in back of the tower - convenient from everywhere.

We love the option to stay at a delxue for about the same price as a moderate.

Just to correct a small item above ...

The bathrooms in the Tower and Garden Wing rooms are slightly different.

In the Garden Wing rooms, the main part of the bathroom contains the tub and dual sink vanity. The toilet and vanity/mirror (no sink) is located in a separate room off of the main bathroom.

In the Tower rooms, the main part of the bathroom contains the tub and a single sink. The toilet and vanity/mirrow (with a single sink) is located in a separate room off of the main bathroom.

If you stay in the North Garden Wing, use the back door to the food court instead of going to the entrance located at the center of the Tower.

Also, take a walk around both of the Garden Wings. I didn't do this until the last day I left and I found it to be very relaxing and
nicely landscaped.

I've read that unless you're dining at the California Grill, you no longer can watch the fireworks at the MK from the top of the Tower. Supposedly there's a new location that you can view the fireworks from inside of the Tower. Ask a CM where that location is.

Have fun!
